Sclerotherapy
The gold standard for treating spider veins and varicose veins.
Sclerotherapy
Precise and effective. Fade pesky spider veins and painful varicose veins.
-
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure where a dermatologist injects a specialised solution directly into spider veins or small varicose veins. The solution irritates the vein wall, causing it to collapse and seal shut. Blood naturally reroutes through healthier veins, and the treated vein gradually fades and is absorbed by the body.
Performed in-office, the treatment typically takes 15-30 minutes with minimal discomfort. Most patients require multiple sessions for optimal results. Common side effects include temporary bruising, redness, or minor swelling at injection sites. The procedure requires no anaesthesia or downtime, with results appearing gradually over several weeks to months.

Why Choose Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is an ideal choice for patients seeking a non-surgical solution to spider veins and small varicose veins. It's a proven, effective treatment that improves both the appearance and symptoms of problematic leg veins.
Key benefits include:
Minimally invasive – no surgery or incisions required
Quick procedure – completed in 15-30 minutes
No downtime – return to normal activities immediately
Office-based – performed during a routine appointment
Effective results – significant improvement in vein appearance
Minimal discomfort – well-tolerated by most patients
Sclerotherapy is particularly suitable for cosmetic concerns and can also relieve symptoms like aching, swelling, or heaviness in the legs. With an established safety record and high patient satisfaction, it remains the gold standard treatment for small to medium-sized leg veins.
